The African Journal of Natural Sciences (AJNS) is a peer-reviewed journal aimed to publishing current research and review articles in Pure and Applied Sciences. AJNS is a broad based journal published by the Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Jos, Nigeria.

Peer Review Process

The journal uses double –blind system for peer-review, wherein both reviewers’ and authors’ identities remain anonymous. A manuscript is peer-reviewed by at least two (2) experts following desk review by one editor of the journal.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.



This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
